There are 31 mens college basketball coaches making over $1 million per year. There are only eight coaches making more than $3 million per year – a stark difference between college basketball and football coaches.
Using data from USAToday.com, BusinessInsider.com, and other sources we have collected the annual salary and outside income generated by most of the Division I college basketball coaches (private schools are not obligated to release salary information for employees).
Coach K is the highest-paid of any college sports coach. He topples all other basketball coaches by around $4 million and $2.5 million more than Nick Saban (head football coach of Alabama).
